I've been considering a self contained multi functional power station like the boost 1600 for some time now, I saw it at Camper Calling and on following up, decided it was the best of its type by a country mile. Mine arrived today (should've been yesterday. Thanks Fedex). I've charged it on the mains (fast). looking at various Solar options..
Bought by my wife at Camper Calling 2024 festival, the Boost1500 was claimed to be capable of running a 240v hair dryer - something she can normally only use when we have a mains electric hook up.
She tried it, and it was. Then it powered a 240v toaster for breakfast (4 slices, thank you).
Then in an unprecedented burst of domesticity, we plugged in the caravan's 240v mini-vac and vacuumed the entire interior of our touring caravan - including all of the storage cupboards.
After all of this, the Boost still indicated 80% on the battery-o-meter.
This bodes very well for the future, doesn't it?
Was the support driver on a charity bike ride from lands end to John o groats. Used the atom 1200 for brewing tea and making bacon butties. Charged between stops through the cigarette lighter. It was amazing. Can’t wait to get my hands on a bigger one.
I like to get right out in the middle of nowhere, often on foot, filming with my drone. The atom is the ideal thing for me to recharge my batteries time after time, giving me the confidence to go absolutely anywhere with it. No issues so far!
